Calling all Trunk-or-Treat Volunteers!
October 31st (6pm-8pm)

Don your costumes, grab your decorations and snag some candy...Trunk-or-Treat is right around the corner!

Volunteers please, be in place no later than 5:30pm. "Trunks" will be set up in the back lot, outside of the gym double doors. All other volunteers are asked to park in the upper lot or next to the state buildings. We are also, asking that everyone clean up their spaces before you leave for the evening. Thank you!

Serve options for Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is an annual community wide event held at CapCity and we're planning to be outside this year! It takes an enormous amount of manpower to make this event a success. There are several ways you can help.

  1. Everyone can bring candy. We'll begin officially collecting candy in October but we'll take it anytime you want to bring it in.
  2. Please, take a moment to look over your options for serving during the event. Some activities are easier than others.

Here is a brief description of available options:

  • Trunk Host - Decorate a trunk! We're looking to set up about 25 trunks with themes with a Biblical twist...you can do this any way you'd like but we want to really play it up for our attendees.  A life group could build a theme through 3-5 trunks lined up together. Appropriate music is encouraged to add to the ambience. Please designate 1 person as your point-of-contact. Then add the number of trunks you'll be doing and the names of all other participants in the question section of your registration.

  • October 31 Set Up - Come over early on the 31st and help set up our area. We'll also add signage and barriers to help with crowd flow. This is especially important if we need to move inside due to weather conditions.

  • Inflatables - Monitor the inflatables to ensure that our visitors are safe as they enjoy the evening.

  • Face Painting - Got painting ability? Kids love it and so do some of the adults!

  • Food - Hot dogs and the fixin's!

  • Snacks - Would you rather try your hand at snocones or popcorn? Maybe you'd like to make some cotton candy! This is the place to try your hand with these favorite confections!

  • Candy Runner- Resupply the trunks with candy treats throughout the evening. (This is a great job for teens) You will be doing a LOT of walking! Wear comfy shoes!)

  • Parking Attendant - Direct traffic so it flows smoothly and ensures our visitors have a great experience at Trunk or Treat.

  • Selfie Station - Decorate our selfie station

  • Greeters - Pass out a map and give an explanation of what will happen when our guests enter the area.

  • Sound Tech - If you know how to run a playlist from Spotify or Apple music (provided by the NextGen team) and you follow instructions for using a simplified sound board, this job is for you.

  • Photographer -Do you have an eye for capturing sweet special moments? Then this is the spot for you.

  • October 31st Teardown - We'll need some assistance taking down our signage and cleaning up any trash that we have in the parking area and the state lot. Once again, this is especially important if weather issues push the event inside.
