Money Talks

Maybe, there is a whole lot about money in the Bible because God knows it can be one of his biggest rivals … for our hearts. It’s not that God is greedy, or materialistic. That’s stupid. It’s already all his. And if God wants more, he can make more, kind of like that (snap of the finger). It’s that our Creator knows that, as with all of his gifts to us, money can be lethal to our souls if it is not kept in its place. You see, too often we use money as a scorecard – the more you have, the better your score. But maybe God uses money as a scorecard, too. He can see whether money is more important to us than he is. And he can see whether we use the money … he gives us … in a way that honors him … or not. You see, God gets it … of course he does. And he gets us … He knows your heart, and he knows what can pull you away from him, if you let it.
